One of the most notable species is the deer mouse; in terms of appearance, deer mice are characterized by their white underbelly with darker fur on top and their large, furry ears. They can grow to roughly four inches in length.
In contrast, the common house mouse is slightly smaller in size, often growing to only three inches in size (not counting its long, slim tail). House mice are generally light brown in color, and can be distinguished by their pointed heads and medium-sized ears.
