What are Jumping Spiders?
Jumping Spiders found in the Pacific Northwest are small spiders that typically have 4 pairs of eyes and – as you can guess by their name – can jump up to 40 times the length of their body.
Jumping spiders are the largest family of spiders with over 6,000 types of subspecies. Averaging a ½ inch long, Jump spiders are covered in thick hairs and can be black, brown, or gray with different colored markings such as red, blue, white, or yellow.
